Family Support Study
Industrial/Organizational Program
Florida Institute of Technology

This study examines beliefs, attitudes and experiences concerning the way organizations, such as businesses, support their employees. We are specifically looking at support for families, such as maternal leave policies and allowances given for parents of young children to cope with childrearing demands. We need to obtain information from student and from their parents, and we must associate all data. It is a complicated study.

Your son or daughter has provided contact information that allowed us to reach you by postal mail and/or email. In order for him/her to get class credit for this experiment, you must complete the questionnaires on the following web pages (or do so by mail, if you received paper versions).

This study is not anonymous...

Psychology experiments are normally conducted so as to maintain the anonymity of participants' responses. However, in this study we need to be able to place your responses and those of your son/daughter and spouse (if available) into a single dataset.

...but your responses are fully confidential

However, your responses and those of your son/daughter are fully confidential. Once we have matched up the data and reported your participation to your son/daughter's Introductory Psychology instructor, your names will be removed from the dataset.

First, please identify your son or daughter by typing in his/her last name, or a portion of the name. We will use this name to match your data to that of your son or daughter.
